A fair number of my students are children
of BlackBerry parents who travel a great deal on RIM business. I am
always touched by how poignantly these young children miss their absent mum
or dad--it's often the first thing I hear from them when they arrive for
a lesson. I have imagined this through their eyes.
Lyrics for “A Long Goodbye” (Christopher Norton “Connections”,
Grade 2)
One more word before you go
One more hug before you leave
Just one more before you've parted.
Seems so long that you'll be gone
far from home,
But with the
sunrise
moonrise
I'll think
of you
always
love you.
Just one word before you go
Just one hug before you've parted,
Started,
to come back to us,
before you're near.
Just a breath,
then you'll be home.
